Operation Happy Sock!
Here's a great project for
Girl Scout Troops and
schools!
Operation Happy Sock is a
fun, easy way to help
homeless cats in your local
animal shelter. Volunteers
make simple toys, called
"Happy Socks," by stuffing
catnip and polyester
fiberfill in the toe of a
sock and tying a knot at the
ankle. Simple, but a GREAT
catnip toy!
 Happy
Sock volunteers usually
visit their local shelter to
give the toys to the cats
themselves. A big, fluffy,
soft Happy Sock is the
feline equivalent of a
cuddly teddy bear, a warm
companion in the often stark
confines of a shelter cage.
You'll see that the cats
have their own way of saying
"THANK YOU!"
You can easily launch
Operation Happy Sock for Cat
Angel Network or other local
animal shelter. It’s a fun
project for kids and can be
done any time of year. Your
friends and neighbors will
be glad to donate their
unwanted socks.

store receipts from

Redner's Warehouse
Markets*. We
receive 1% of the total
receipt you collect for
them. If you shop at
Genuardi's**
or
Safeway**
stores, you can contribute
through the eScrip
program

Redner's: In order for
your receipts to count, you
must present to the cashier
your Redner’s Save-A-Tape
card before the cashier
rings up your groceries. If
you need a card, ask for a
Save-A Tape card at the
customer service desk in any
Redner’s. There is no cost
for the card.
Ask your
friends, co-workers,
relatives and any one else
you can think of to save
these tapes for Cat Angel
network. Why not make it a
family project? Or, if you
belong to any other
organizations they could
make it a service project.

Volunteer
The
new Pottstown
PETsMART partnership has
presented us with opportunities to add new
volunteers for many facets of the operation. We will
be accepting applications for Caregivers, Cat
Socializers, Fostering, Adoption Helpers, and
assistance in many other categories. We also are
always interested in discussing administrative and
clerical functions which is a wonderful way to
provide assistance for folks who cannot help with
hands-on cat care but would like to participate or
be involved in other ways. We're also always in need
of help with these
activities at our original
PETsMART location in Downingtown.
If you are interested in joining the Cat Angel
Network Volunteer Family, please complete a
Volunteer
Application which you can find right here on
our website. Applications also will be available at
both our PETsMART locations. We will be interviewing
new applicants as quickly as possible and are
looking forward to having you join forces with us to
help find homes for the many kitties who are looking
for their forever families!
