About Cat Angel Network

Cat Angel Network, founded in 1996, is an all volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill cat rescue organization dedicated to improving the grave situation of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens in our community. We work to control the enormous overpopulation of cats by:

  • Advocating the spaying and neutering of all cats and kittens, including those in our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program

  • Educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering

  • Finding loving, responsible homes for unwanted cats and kittens

  • Counseling cat owners about situations that would otherwise result in the surrender of their cats

Cat Angel Network maintains a private shelter in northern Chester County, foster homes, and adoption centers at Exton (Downingtown) and Pottstown PETsMARTs.

We have only 2 sources of income: adoption fees and donations.

1. Adoption Fees - our $95 adoption fee helps to defray the costs associated with caring for each cat prior to adoption. Before being made available for adoption, our cats are all vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and tested for FIV and FeLV. Some cats may require additional veterinary care, medications, and/or expensive surgeries.

2. Donations - we rely heavily on donations to fund the difference between the expenses we incur in caring for the cats and the income we receive from Adoption Fees. We are very grateful to all of our donors - they make it all possible!

Since our organization is staffed entirely by non-paid volunteers, the money we receive from donors goes directly to caring for cats and funding our TNR program. Please consider making a donation to Cat Angel Network - to see how, visit our Donations page or the How To Help page.

About Our Cats & Kittens

We’re often asked, “Where do all of your cats come from?” There is never a shortage of cats in need! We rescue homeless cats struggling to survive outside, abandoned cats that are left behind when their humans move away or die, and cats that would be euthanized by people who decide they no longer want their faithful companion. Our kitties are all ages, colors, breeds, and personalities. They are accustomed to using a litter box, and are well-socialized by our gentle, loving volunteers prior to adoption. All cats and kittens adopted by Cat Angel Network have been spayed or neutered, have been tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, and are up to date on vaccinations for Rabies and FVRCP.

It's Cat Angel Network’s ongoing mission to find loving and lasting homes for all of our cats and kittens. Space in the Adoption Center at PETsMART is insufficient to show all the many wonderful cats who are available at CAN, but it does provide a great opportunity for you to see many of our fuzzy angels who are just waiting for their forever homes. In the ADOPTIONS section of this website, you can view many others who are available and waiting their turn to show off at PETsMART (unless they leave for new homes directly from the shelter or foster home).
